On September 11, 1990, President Bush Senior announced the beginning of the New World Order of peaceful resolutions of international conflicts, a rapid scientific and technological progress and worldwide economic prosperity. His declaration was not accidental. Unknown to the$President a$new astrological era, Era of Globalization, began at Pluto perihelion in November 1989. During every transition from one astrological era into another, previous era superpowers decline while new superpowers arise to dominate the world for most of this new era. There has never been even one single exception from this rule.
Decline of the U.S.
The U.S. emerged as an economic superpower in the 1870s, soon after Pluto aphelion in 1865. Shortly after Neptune/Pluto conjunction in 1889-94, it became a colonial Empire after its victory in the Spanish War, and a military superpower after WWI. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989, and the U.S. victory in the Persian Gulf War in 1991, it appeared that the U.S. became a$superpower with no rivals destined to lead the world till the end of time. Alas, this was only an illusion. Like all superpowers of the previous European Imperial Era, such as Britain, France, Sweden, Russia, Germany, Spain, and Turkey, the U.S. is destined to decline. It has already reached the limit of its economic, military and political power in the 1990s and has been losing its influence on the world affairs ever since. Once ay old superpower begins to decline, the process is always irreversible, and this will be the case of the U.S. This decline will continue for more than a century, and by Neptune/Pluto opposition in 2136-42 our nation will be a superpower no longer. There is no reason to be concerned though. Our economy will continue to grow, and our standards of living will continue to rise, just not as fast as China’s. No one will conquer us, nor will our country fall apart. We will simply stop projecting our power beyond our borders and relinquish our responsibility as a world policeman to China, just as Great Britain relinquished its superpower responsibilities to us.
Rise of China
In all previous astrological eras, world superpowers attempted to conquer the world or at least a continent or two. So far, all previous superpowers have failed in this task. Will this$new still rising superpower, China, succeed in unifying the world? If history is the judge, it probably will, but it will take a few centuries. Already twice during a transition from one astrological era into another, China emerged as a superpower which united most of East Asia for three centuries. First time it occurred close to Pluto perihelion in 241 B.C. with the emergence of the Hun Empire, and second time—close to Pluto aphelion in 627 A.D. with emergence of the Tung Empire. During Pluto perihelion in 1989, China emerged as a world superpower for the third time and will remain such for at least three more centuries. In our new Globalization Era, China will be a major player in fulfilling this eternal humankind’s dream of unifying the world. However, it will never rule the world.
Decline of Russia
Russia has been a world superpower since the beginning of the previous European Imperial Era in 1494 and remained such until the Soviet Union began to disintegrate at the very end of that astrological era and the beginning of the new Globalization Era in 1989. Read more. At present, President Putin’s Russia only pretends to be a superpower, but it is not. In our era, Russia’s$nuclear weapons do not always qualify it as a superpower. Russia’s economy is far behind that of the U.S., China, the EU and Japan, and this gap is getting wider. Since the middle of the 19th century Russia’s brightest mind have been leaving the country, and this process has been accelerating in recent years. During Stalin’s times, millions of its most independent and ambitious citizens perished in prisons and labor camps. Except in a few metropolitan areas, most of Russia is deprived of people with independence, initiative, creativity and ambition to allow this country to successfully compete in the modern world. According to some respected Russian economists and politicians not associated with the current government, it will take 3-5 generations to replenish Russia’s gene pull. Finally, Russia is rapidly losing its financial capital; both foreigners and wealthy Russians, including those from Putin’s inner circle, transfer their money abroad. Similar to the U.S., Russia has been a superpower of the previous European Imperial Era. It reached the limit of its economic, military and political power in the 1980s and since the collapse of the Warsaw Pact has been in decline. Russia’s current attempt to reassert itself as a world superpower is just a temporary regression into its imperial history. Such regressions are usually associated with Neptune/Pluto secondary septile (1999-2016). Soon after this septile is over in the Spring of 2016, President Putin will be replaced, and Russia will resume its decline. In a few decades, Russia will lose its imperial ambitions, and in less than a century it will form an economic and political union with the EU or China or both. Russia’s decline will not become a bloody demise caused by foreign conquests or violent revolutions. Instead, it will be an economic process, characteristic of our Globalization Era. Without its imperial ambitions, Russia will become just of one the many former superpowers, such as Sweden, Britain, France or Poland, fully integrated in the world economy. Since Russia is the richest county in the world in natural resources, in a few decades its citizens will be enjoying the standards of living comparable with the rest of Europe or perhaps even higher.
The European Union
The European Union was formed in 1992, in the very beginning of our new Globalization Era. This indicates a possibility that eventually the EU will be$truly united and become a world superpower, its economic and political influence equal that of the U.S. and China. However, this was only a possibility. Whether or not truly united Europe will materialize has already been decided with exit of Britain during$Uranus/Neptune semi-square in 2021. Most likely, EU will fail to become a world superpower. Instead, it will remain a very loose confederation similar to the Holy Roman Empire of the Middle Ages, its influence limited to only to Western Europe. Since the formation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, the leadership of this nation has been trying to convince the rest of the world that Iran is about to become a world superpower. Unfortunately for them, and fortunately for the rest of us, the window of opportunity for a new superpower to emerge is about 30 years, 15 years before and 15 years after Pluto perihelion in 1989. Since Iran was not even close to becoming a superpower from 1974 until 2005, its chances to emerge as such$before Pluto aphelion in 2113 are close to zero. Neither Iran, nor North Korea, or Al Qaida or ISIS or any other nation or terrorist organization will emerge as a new superpower in the 21st century.
