Ilya J. Teplitsky

Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Ilya Julius Teplitsky is a licensed psychotherapist residing in El Sobrante, California and Mar Del Plata, Argentina. His credentials include two Master’s Degrees, one in science and another in psychology, and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Mr. Teplitsky has been teaching his courses Psychology of Money, Discover Your Life Purpose, Midlife Career Change and Self-Hypnosis at various community colleges and adult schools in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1992. He has also lectured at dozens organizations, including UC Berkeley Extension, Whole Life Expo and East Bay Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

In addition to his twenty-three years experience as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice, he also worked at the psychiatric emergency department at Fremont Hospital, and as a case manager at Jewish Family Services in Oakland.

In 2000, Ilya served as a Subject Matter Expert for the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences, helping to create examination material for Marriage and Family Therapists.

Ilya participated in panel discussions on San Francisco public television, Channel 29, sponsored by Russian-American Video.

Articles about his work have appeared on the front pages of three Bay Area newspapers: West County Times of February 17, 1995, The Piedmonter of May 21, 1999, and the Oakland Tribune of April 1, 2002.

His first book, Psychology of Money, has been published in 2004. His other books, Discover  Your Life Purpose, Psychology of Investing and Midlife Career Change, have been published in 20013.
